About Me

Hello! I’m Sally and I’m pleased to meet you and give you a little insight into my Face Matters journey…

I qualified as a therapist in my mid 20’s, going on to train in London with big name skincare brands like Thalgo and Aveda and although I loved my job, I didn’t realise then, that it would turn into a passion that would change my life.  In the past – perhaps like many of you – I have experienced my fair share of personal tragedies and upheavals.  And it was during these challenging times that I found by using my therapies with essential oils, soothing massage, candles, flowers and calming music, I could gradually heal myself.  I discovered that through these holistic methods of self-love, I was able to work wonders on my mind as well as my stress troubled skin!  It was then that I came to understand how important it is for our wellbeing to take care of ourselves with beauty treatments and that’s why I want to share my knowledge with you.

With a burning desire to provide a stable life for my children, I used my beauty work to help turn my life around and get from a place of huge trauma – where I suffered devastating family losses and an acrimonious divorce resulting in my becoming homeless – to launching an award-winning skincare brand which has enabled me to give some support to women’s refuges.  I’m delighted to say that my skincare studio in Hampshire is now a thriving business, focusing on results driven facials.

For me, Face Matters is an exciting, ongoing journey and a way to help improve the lives – and the skin – of others.

About Us

In 2014 the original Face Matters was launched when I was introduced to two amazing guys – Rob & Steve.  They embraced my dreams, invested, guided and helped me change my life.  The original brand won 5 awards and partnered with the Beautiful Fenwick of Bond St for both facial treatments and product sales.  We also retailed on board the prestigious Britannia cruise ship and Virgin Atlantic as well as independent salons and our online store.  To top-off these fantastic accolades, I was reported as being one of the top 5 Facialists in London by About Time magazine and began counting top beauty editors and celebrities as clients and friends.  Positive exposure helped give kudos to the Face Matters Signature Facial which was professionally recognised and accredited by The Guild of Beauty Therapists.  If you’re a therapist or salon owner and would like to know more about introducing this facial into your business, then please do get in touch.  Our products are also available in professional sizes for treatments.

With our range of products, I felt it was important for us to move away from high-priced, over-packaged goods to help make them accessible to all.  We do not test on animals, we test on humans in Hampshire!  We do not use parabens, microbeads, sodium laurel sulphate, palm oil or any mineral oils and our products are all made near Bridport in Dorset by our trusted Soil Association approved partners.  Every ingredient we use has been carefully selected to provide hard-working, effective results.

New Beginnings

In 2019 we launched our best range yet – Face Matters SkinHealth. Rebranded and reformulated with outstanding testimonials, our new range  focuses on affordable yet luxury-quality products made from natural ingredients using reduced disposable packaging.  Working with the same Soil Association approved manufacturers, the integrity, provinence and ethics of the ingredients are exceptional and by using recycled glass containers and no unnecessary packaging, leaflets or cello-wrap, we achieve our ethos perfectly: Keep it simple, don’t overcomplicate and it’s what’s inside the jar that really matters!

Time spent with Sally is heaven. I always leave feeling fantastic – emotionally and physically. My skin blooms. I have a spring in my step. She is the most skilled masseuse and therapist. Most of all she is a wonderfully warm, caring lady who is just fun to be around.
